Question 1 / 3On a winter holiday Ali saw a notice on the hotel door: "High avalanche risk." The guide said the upper slopes were closed today. Ali asked: "What is an avalanche?" His father said: "Snow on a mountain can slide down suddenly. That is called an avalanche. If there is a warning, we don't go to the mountain." A friend said "let's go a bit higher." Ali shook his head. "If there is a warning, we stay home or somewhere safe. We don't go to the mountain to play in the snow." Ali wrote this in his mind: Avalanche warning = don't go to the mountain.
